Melanie Lucash is a sex and relationships educator with a passion for developing and facilitating engaging comprehensive sexuality curricula that are consent-based, LGBTQ-inclusive, and sex-positive. Her first foray into this field was as a sexual health peer educator in high school, where she became a source of powerful and nonjudgmental information for other young people in her town. After earning her Master’s in Public Health, Melanie moved to New England and began working as a community prevention educator and outreach specialist at New Hope, the rape crisis center in southeastern Massachusetts. In the classroom, Melanie is enthusiastic, nerdy, and approachable. Now and in the future, she seeks to create transformative spaces in which students can explore new ideas and learn with their peers about sexuality, gender, social justice, consent, and healthy relationships.
