There are a number of great online resources for Sex Education and the Law – some general, and some specific to Massachusetts.

The first is the Guttmacher institute, which includes charts articles on a wide variety of sex-legal topics.  The navigation is a bit odd, and so it takes a bit of exploring.  For example, in the middle of the screen there is a dropdown – select “Teens” and then on the right you can select “Sex Education.

The next Sex in the States pages from Sex, etc., which are broken down by state and then by broad topic.

In Massachusetts, there is a broad collection of “Law About” pages, which include such topics as sexting, bullying, rape,  and abortion (among others).  These pages provide links to the laws, as well as to other web resources that give more information about the laws.

Below you’ll find links to pages dealing with the different topics addressed in the Sex Education and the Law presentation at the Sex Ed Community Conference:

Age of Consent

Mandatory Reporting

Rape and Sexual Assault

Sexting

Sex Education

LGBTQ Rights

Birth Control/Medical Privacy/Title X
